Research Associate (Psychology)
Responsibilities
- Provide research support within a neuropsychological/neuroimaging/laboratory– based setting.
- Conduct literature review and study-related statistical analysis where applicable.
- Assist with the preparation of research analyses, plans, reports, manuscripts and presentations, where applicable.
- Coordinate clinical recruitment and blood draws.
- Perform research administrative duties.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience*, Biomedical Engineering* Biological/Biomedical/Life Sciences**; and its equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a clinical setting
- Experience in data analyses and implementing statistical analysis using statistical software such as SPSS or R.
- Keen interest in clinical research and hypothesis testing.
- Good IT literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Evidence of publication and other research outputs, would be highly advantageous.
- Experience with neuropsychological assessments is desirable
Undergraduate Research Intern
Duration: Minimum 3 to 6 months
Commitment: Minimum 12 hours per week on weekdays
Learning Opportunities:
- Practical training on neuropsychological assessments.
- Neuroimaging interpretation.
- Blood processing skills in the wet lab.
- Clinical interview skills and interaction with research participants.
- Potential to conduct your own research project that involves data analysis and writing manuscripts.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline).
- Strong interest in research and desire to contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of dementia.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and record keeping.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and statistic tools (e.g., SPSS, R) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills as you will be working with participants.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience or coursework related to research methods, data analysis or laboratory techniques is preferred but not required.
