Research Associate (Psychology)

Responsibilities

  • Provide research support within a neuropsychological/neuroimaging/laboratory– based setting.
  • Conduct literature review and study-related statistical analysis where applicable.
  • Assist with the preparation of research analyses, plans, reports, manuscripts and presentations, where applicable.
  • Coordinate clinical recruitment and blood draws.
  • Perform research administrative duties.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience*, Biomedical Engineering* Biological/Biomedical/Life Sciences**; and its equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience in data analyses and implementing statistical analysis using statistical software such as SPSS or R.
  • Keen interest in clinical research and hypothesis testing.
  • Good IT literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • Evidence of publication and other research outputs, would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience with neuropsychological assessments is desirable
Undergraduate Research Intern

Duration: Minimum 3 to 6 months

Commitment: Minimum 12 hours per week on weekdays

Learning Opportunities:

  • Practical training on neuropsychological assessments.
  • Neuroimaging interpretation.
  • Blood processing skills in the wet lab.
  • Clinical interview skills and interaction with research participants.
  • Potential to conduct your own research project that involves data analysis and writing manuscripts.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline).
  • Strong interest in research and desire to contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of dementia.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and record keeping.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and statistic tools (e.g., SPSS, R) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as you will be working with participants.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience or coursework related to research methods, data analysis or laboratory techniques is preferred but not required.
